PT Multimas Nabati Asahan (MNA) Kuala Tanjung, Wilmar Group continues to be committed to collaborating with local residents in its operations in Batubara Regency, North Sumatra. Until now, most of the company’s employees come from the local community.

Chairman of PT MNA Kuala Tanjung Eddy Kho explained that absorbing local residents was the company’s commitment to carrying out its operations in Batubara. This is intended so that investment in the area will have a positive impact, so that companies and society can develop together. The absorption of local residents also has a positive impact, so that the party continues to be committed to developing local human resources (HR).

“The local community is one of the main parts of the company’s operations. We have to develop together so that the company can rise in ranking,” said Eddy Kho in his official statement.

According to him, local residents have filled all levels and positions in the company. They have made extraordinary contributions to the company. Apart from developing together, human resources from Batu Bara have also become leaders in various Wilmar business units in Indonesia and abroad.

This step is in accordance with the regional government’s aim of providing protection to regional workers to obtain jobs in accordance with their skills, abilities, interests and talents. Apart from that, the absorption of local workers also aims to create a conducive business climate through harmonizing relations between local communities and companies, as well as reflecting a conducive investment climate in attracting more investors.

PT MNA Kuala Tanjung Cost Control Jiki Supristyo is an example of a local resident who has served the Wilmar Group for almost 25 years. The man who lives in Kuala Tanjung Village, Batu Bara Regency feels grateful for being given the opportunity to work, so he can hone his skills and earn a living for his family.
