Approximately three quarters of Romanians claim that they will not go on vacation at all this winter and of those who will, just over 10% will spend their winter vacation in Romania, in the mountains, 7.5% will spend it with relatives/at country, over 6% on the Romanian coast and only 2.6% will spend it abroad, according to a survey carried out by CEC Bank in partnership with the banking comparator FinZoom.ro.

Among those who will spend their holidays abroad, about 22% say they will go to Turkey, almost 16% chose Spain, 12.5% - Greece, 10% each will spend the holidays in Bulgaria and Italy and over 6% in Egypt . Other holiday destinations include Norway, England and Brazil.
To the question – How many days can you afford to go on vacation this winter – over 68% of those who responded to the survey mentioned that they will go on vacation for 3-4 days this year, over 20% say that they chose to spend 7 days of vacation, about 8% will go on vacation for 10 days and only 2% will spend two weeks or more on vacation.
When it comes to the budget allocated this year for the winter vacation – approximately 80% of respondents mentioned that they will allocate less than 1,000 lei, over 11% answered between 1,000 – 2,000 lei, 6.5% will allocate between 2,000 – 4,000 lei, and almost 4% intend to spend over 4,000 lei.
Regarding the means of transport that Romanians use to go on vacation, the personal car is the first choice. More than half of those who will go on vacation will go by car, about 23% chose to travel by train, over 15% by bus and about 8% by plane.
The survey was conducted online by the FinZoom financial comparator, at the request of CEC Bank, on a sample of around 1,200 respondents from all over the country, representative of internet users. 53% of the respondents are employees, 75% live in the city and over 27% have higher education.
