Surya Sahetapy recently returned to make his family and those around him proud with his achievements. The third child of Dewi Yull and Ray Sahetapy, he successfully graduated from his master’s degree in America and became an outstanding graduate of the deaf.
Born on December 21, 1993, Surya was sentenced to be deaf since birth. Nevertheless, this is not an obstacle for Surya to achieve and be successful, Mother.
Through his Instagram, Surya shared several portraits at the graduation which were attended by family and friends. In the portrait, Surya uploaded a photo with his mother and continued father, Srikaton, with happy faces.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported us,” wrote Surya, quoted from the Instagram page @suryasahetapy, on Saturday (13/5/2023).
Surya dedicated his achievement to his late brother
Surya has an older sister who is deaf. She is Giscka Putri Agustina Sahetapy, the first child of Dewi Yull and Ray Sahetapy.
However, Giscka had already returned to the arms of God Almighty in 2010, after fighting an inflammatory brain disease, Mother. Successfully earning a master’s degree, Surya dedicated his achievement to his beloved brother.
“Hi late Sis Gisca! I am honored to report that I have been selected as an Outstanding Graduate Student in the Master of Science Degree category and the NTID Graduate College Delegate for the 2022-2023 school year,” Surya wrote.
Not only that, Surya also conveyed other predicates that he managed to get after studying hard to achieve his success.
“Also, I received the International Student Outstanding Service Award. Our Abi and Ibu will be at my graduation! Can’t wait to welcome them to Rochester, NY!” he continued.
After making his parents proud of his achievements, Surya returned to spoiling his parents by making his mother’s dream come true on her birthday. Come on, look at the next page, Mother.
