Kuwait City: As part of the evacuation of bachelors in Swadeshi residential areas, electricity connections in buildings continue to be canceled in various parts of the country. In the past one month, electricity has been cut to around 100 buildings in Farwaniya Governorate.
The authorities state that foreign bachelors should not stay in Swadeshi residential areas and have been warned to vacate in advance. The inspections are conducted jointly by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Civil Information Department and Ministry of Hydropower. It has been decided that the entire country’s native housing areas will completely evacuate foreigners who are not living with their families. Authorities said the overabundance of bachelors has led to increased drug and alcohol use.
The authorities are preparing for a sweeping inspection in the country. The reason for the presence of bachelors was that the natives divided the apartments into different parts and rented them to foreigners for financial gain. The authorities have stated that strong action will be taken against such building owners.
