Switzerland is determined to end the organ shortage

The choice is clear: the Swiss want a profound change in the approach to organ transplantation. With 59.8% yes (provisional result), presumed consent is widely approved. Every Swiss will therefore become a potential organ donor, whereas today donors must voluntarily register in a national register. The Confederation is thus following the example of several European countries, including France and Spain. What, hope those who supported this modification, to lower this sad statistic: each week, one to two patients die, for lack of organ available for a transplant.
