Symphoniker in transition and in anticipation – music

Is it faster than you think? As recently as September, the Wiener Symphoniker emphasized that following Andrés Orozco-Estrada’s abrupt departure they wanted to take their time looking for a successor – if necessary until 2025 or longer. In a public conversation with the director of the Musikverein, Stephan Pauly, following the Symphoniker concert, Jan Nast stated that the new artistic direction would be the following: “We’ll probably know more in the summer of ’23.”
