With a significant flow of voters, the primary elections for the nomination of the SYRIZA MEP candidates for Western Greece are proceeding from 8:00 in the morning and the polls will remain open until 20:00 in the afternoon.
This is a process of nominating the MEP candidates of SYRIZA-PS from the grassroots. Voting is done by physical attendance of voters at the polling stations, but also online. This is also the reason why they cannot know during the day the turnout, since the polls are physical and online.
At the disposal of the voters who come to the polling stations will be a ballot, which will correspond to the district to which the electoral station belongs and will contain the candidates in alphabetical order. Voters who vote online will be able to choose the district in which to exercise their right.
All existing members of SYRIZA-PS have the right to vote in the electoral process, as well as friends who will fill in either the special electronic form, or by coming to the polling stations, the relevant form of a friend of SYRIZA-PS.
From Western Greece, 3 candidates are elected for the party’s European ballot and each voter has the right to put 1 cross.
In Western Greece, there are 12 candidates in the primary elections and they are: Karagiorgou-Lazaris Margarita, pensioner of the State, Kouroumplis Panagiotis, lawyer, Lazaris Andreas, teacher-poet, Louridas Georgios, director, Michalopoulos Ilias, chef, Molonis Spyridon, shareholder of a model livestock unit, Botsi Konstantina, civil servant, Patrikios Spyros, civil servant, Rozis Ioannis mechanical engineer, Tsekouras Georgios, clinical dietitian of Agrini Hospital, Houzouris Ioannis, general secretary of the Municipality of Ilida, Psilopoulou Maria, educator.
In Achaia, elections for life are held at the following polling stations:
> South Division Offices, Byzantium and Sinai Monastery, Patras.
> Zavlani offices, Ferron 1, Patras.
> Offices of the Trade and Import Association of Patras, pl. 25 Georgiou A, Patra.
> SYRIZA-PS Offices, 32 Kleomenos Oikonomou A, (1st floor), Aegio.
> SYRIZA-PS Akrata offices (Peloponnisou 29), Akrata.
> Spiritual Center of Diakofto, Diakofto.
> Old Primary School of Chalandritsa, Chalandritsa.
> Stone Building, central square of Kalavryta, Kalavryta.
> “Melina Merkouri” Cultural Center (ground floor of the building), 1 Demokratias square, Kato Achaia.
