Mr. Tachiaos however pointed out that, as a consequence of the relevant law 3555/2007, 103.4 million euros have been paid to the concessionaire since 2017 for the non-construction of the tolls, within the framework of the contract. (The non-construction of tolls) is due to the intervention of the public through ministerial decisions, said Mr. Tachiaos, stressing that we must agree that the intervention of the public will no longer consist of the will of a minister, “but the Parliament itself will come and will say “yes, we agree, we ratify a new legal provision which says that tolls will not be installed at the height of Kifissia and Dionysos in PATHE”. For his part, Mr. Christodoulakis said that obviously we are not asking the government to break the law in relation to Law 3555/2007, but we are asking that it exhaust its legislative initiative and amend the existing contract.
