The Taco John’s restaurant, which has held the expression “Taco Tuesday” since its creation in 1989, decided to sell the rights on Tuesday to avoid embarking on a costly legal action, to the delight of rival companies.

Given the abandonment of the legal action, Taco John’s however announced that it would donate US$40,000 to the non-profit organization CORE, which helps restaurant workers who have children.
