Authorities allege that Yogesh Verma, 32, a Bachelor of Arts graduate, and Shubham Vishwakarma, 19, a Class 12 student, conducted the surgery despite lacking any medical degrees or surgical training. Following the procedure, Priyanka developed severe complications, including excessive bleeding, and did not regain consciousness after anesthesia. She was subsequently referred to hospitals in Akbarpur and Lucknow, but died en route, according to police reports.

Police investigations revealed that Navjeevan Hospital had been operating illegally for approximately five years. The hospital operator, identified as Ruby, has reportedly fled the premises and is currently being sought by authorities.
