HONOLULU – The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa men’s volleyball team is celebrating a pair of Big West Conference weekly awards, recognizing the outstanding performances of setter Tread Rosenthal and libero Quintin Greenidge following a recent series split with Pepperdine University. The accolades highlight a strong showing for the Rainbow Warriors as they prepare to host a challenging invitational tournament.
Rosenthal earned his sixth Big West Setter of the Week honor this season and the 11th of his distinguished career. Greenidge was named the Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in 2024. The awards underscore the critical roles both players play in the success of the third-ranked Rainbow Warriors (15–2), who are consistently competing at a high level within the Big West Conference.
Rosenthal showcased an all-around performance against Pepperdine, achieving his first double-double of the season – and the fourth of his career. He dished out a season-high 56 assists, demonstrating his command of the offense. Greenidge anchored the defense with 22 total digs and a remarkable .979 reception percentage, consistently keeping rallies alive for Hawaiʻi.
These latest honors bring the total number of Big West weekly awards earned by UH Mānoa players to 16 this season, a testament to the team’s depth and consistent performance. The tournament, scheduled for March 12–14, will feature matches against No. 1 UCLA, No. 14 Lewis University, and Mount Olive University.
