Taiwan’s Foreign Minister Joseph Wu said on Tuesday that China was looking for excuses to conduct military exercises, and this time the excuse was the visit of US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Wu said China would not have been able to prepare the drones, cyber attacks and disinformation campaigns in such a short period of time.
He added that the best way to deal with a regime trying to intimidate Taiwan is to show that it is not afraid.
He described China’s military exercises around Taiwan as a flagrant violation of international law, and obstructed one of the world’s busiest shipping routes.
