Taka Nakagami underwent surgery – Japanese GP at risk? / MotoGP

LCR Honda rider Taka Nakagami crashed in the opening stages of Sunday’s Aragon GP after colliding with fellow Audi driver Marc Márquez. The Japanese injured himself.

On the first lap of the Aragon Grand Prix, a frightening accident happened in which Takaaki Nakagami involuntarily fell to the ground. After a collision with factory Honda rider Marc Márquez, who was having trouble with his RC213V after colliding with Fabio Quartararo, the Japanese crashed.

The LCR driver was lucky not to be hit by the following drivers as he skidded a few 100 meters across the circuit. Immediately after the race, Nakagami made his way to Barcelona to have his right hand checked.

The 30-year-old has now announced that he has been separated from Dr. had surgery on me. Nakagami sustained fractures to his little finger and ring finger in his right hand, which were treated in Barcelona. Because the tendons in his hand were also affected in the accident on Sunday, the Honda driver is worried about taking part in the home race in Japan next weekend.

Whether Nakagami will be able to take part in the Grand Prix in Motegi on his Honda will be decided on Thursday at the latest, when he has to obtain clearance for the race from the on-site doctors during an examination.
