Takuma Sato has been announced to race in the 2023 IndyCar Series with Chip Ganassi Racing.

Takuma Sato graduated in 1997 from Suzuka Racing School (now Honda Racing School Suzuka), Honda’s driver training program. He has raced in F1 since 2002, winning a podium at the 2004 US Grand Prix.

He started participating in the IndyCar Series in 2010, and along with the F1 Monaco GP and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, it is known as one of the “three major races in the world”, and on the day of the final, in front of more than 350,000 spectators. In 2017 and 2020, he won the Indy Indy 500, which is contested at a maximum speed of 380 km / h.
