Takuma Sato made his first run on the machine of his team, Dale Coyne Racing with Rick Wear Racing, in 2022.

Takuma Sato, who will enter the 13th year of IndyCar in 2022, transferred to Dale Coyne Racing with Rick Wear Racing. He participated in a private test in Sebring from February 14th to 15th.

Eight teams participated in the private test. Takuma Sato participated on the second day. He made his first run on his new companion, purple-colored car No. 51, and set the 11th fastest time out of 14 people.

The 2022 NTT IndyCar Series will kick off on February 27th at Saint Petersburg.
