The 2024 budget will be particularly watched by motorists: the finance bill (PLF) for next year plans to put them to work – more specifically, buyers of new cars.
The Minister of the Economy, Bruno Le Maire, announced this when he presented the green industry bill in mid-May. The Minister Delegate for Transport, Clément Beaune, confirmed this a few weeks later. The objective is to penalize the most polluting cars, by increasing the taxes to which they are subject.
