Police elements from the Sidi Bernoussi security district in Casablanca arrested, on Saturday, a taxi driver suspected of involvement in a case of kidnapping linked to a violent theft, we learned from a security source.
The suspect had transported a woman and her brother from a public premises in the rural area “Ain Harouda” to a district of Casablanca late at night, specifies the same source, noting that the first victim got out of the taxi in a manner having exposed his physical integrity in danger before fleeing, while the second victim was kidnapped and exposed to theft.
The investigations carried out in this case, relayed by national media, allowed the identification and arrest of the suspect in the Ain Harouda area, it is emphasized.
The accused was placed in police custody for the judicial investigation carried out under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to determine the ins and outs of this case, and reveal the true motivations behind these criminal acts.
