TAYLOR Swift is making some big changes with her Era Tour. After a brief break following her concert in Singapore in March, the “Fortnight” singer returned to the stage on May 9 in Paris, France.

After releasing her 11th studio album The Tortured Poets Department in April, many Swifties speculated she would change the track list to include new tracks from the album.

Swift appeared to tease the tour changes in late April when she shared footage from her rehearsals, which appeared to include new costumes, microphones and performances. To add to the speculation, her dancers posted a video of them dancing to her new song “So Long, London” in early May.

In addition to adding The Tortured Poets Department to the set list, Swift made a number of other major changes to the Era Tour, including many new costumes and new performances.

Below are a number of changes made

The Tortured Poets Department has been added to the opening

Swift first teased the addition of The Tortured Poets Department at the start of the show. Into the opening, which features Swift naming all of her album titles, she added a clip of herself singing the title track “The Tortured Poets Department.” Additionally, fans noted he added the lyrics “What if I told you I’m back?” which is in the song “The Alchemy,” which fans theorize is about her boyfriend Travis Kelce.

There are new costumes

The singer debuted several new costumes during her show in Paris. She kicked off Lover’s set by wearing a bright orange bodysuit and matching shoes and blazer (all Versace) as she performed “The Man.”

As she transitioned into her Fearless era, she introduced a silver and black frilly dress, which was much more reminiscent of the dress she wore during her original Fearless Tour in 2009, and had a new dress for her Speak Now set.

Additionally, she wore a new shirt during her “22” performance, which read: “This is not Taylor’s Version” (a new addition to the rotation), which left fans speculating about what it could mean.

Her Folklore era also included a new yellow dress from Alberta Ferretti while her 1989 set included two pink and green pieces that gave off a vibe of Ariel’s dress in The Little Mermaid (which was released in, you guessed it, 1989 and contained the line “Daddy, I love him!” — just like the song in TTPD). Her outfit also includes one pink shoe and one green shoe.

Meanwhile, her Reputation costume remained the same: the Roberto Cavalli bodysuit she’s been wearing throughout the tour.

Some songs have been cut

With the addition of songs from the new album, Swift cut several songs from the original track list. Some of the standout cuts include “The Archer” which previously ended the Lover era, “Long Live,” which is a more recent addition to the Speak Now set, and several songs from Folklore and Evermore including “The Last Great American Dynasty,” “Willow, ” and “Tolerate It.”

There is a new order for the eras

Swift also recapped some of her eras. In the past, the Folklore era followed his Red set, but in Paris he changed it up by placing Speak Now directly after his performance of Red’s “All Too Well.”

Another big change is that Folklore and Evermore are now combined into one set. As she sat down at the piano to perform “Champagne Problems,” Swift explained that she always saw the two albums as one, with Folklore representing spring/summer and Evermore representing fall/winter.

“On the Era Tour, we have now united sisters [dan] combined them into one chapter,” he said, joking that fans could call this new era “Folkmore” or “Everlore.”

The order of the new era is as follows: Lover, Fearless, Red, Speak Now, Reputation, Folklore and Evermore (now merged), 1989, The Tortured Poets Department, acoustic set, and Midnights.

There are new visuals

Additionally, there are several new visuals that appear on screen as Swift switches from one set to another. Speak Now’s set included what appeared to be a visual of flowers blooming before two of her backup dancers appeared on stage for an intimate performance.

After his Reputation set, the screen now shows a visual of a black snake slithering through the woods, a perfect transition into his Folklore and Evermore era.(People/Z-3)
