In CaliforniaTHE Contra Costa Health Services (CCH) recommend to any person who has entered the California Grand Casino has Pacheco since 2018 to consider testing for TB, as genetic testing was recently performed and revealed several linked cases among staff and clients over the past five years.
Of the 11 confirmed tuberculosis cases, 10 are genetically linked and most are associated with casino staff or patrons. Genetic testing has not yet been performed on case number 11.
To date, CCH has not identified a source of current or ongoing transmission at the casino, and more than 300 individuals who may have been exposed to TB have been contacted.
