Famous conductors, singers and instrumentalists performed with the State Orchestra, it was heard in dozens of countries around the world, it was recorded by leading labels. Alexei Rubin is the conductor of the New Russia State Symphony Orchestra. In 2015–2022, he was assistant conductor of the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Moscow Philharmonic. Graduated from the St. Petersburg Conservatory with a degree in choral conducting (class of Valentin Nesterov) and opera and symphony conducting (class of Yuri Simonov).

He regularly performs at the Concert Hall. P. I. Tchaikovsky, Concert Hall. S. V. Rachmaninov (Philharmonia-2) and the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. Collaborates with leading Russian orchestras: State Orchestra of Russia. E. F. Svetlanova, Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra, Moscow Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra.

The XVII International Tchaikovsky Competition takes place from June 19 to July 1, 2023 in Moscow and St. Petersburg in six specialties: piano, violin, cello, solo singing, woodwinds and brass instruments.

A total of 742 applications from 41 countries were submitted. 236 musicians took part in the first round of the Competition.
