Bad news for some TCL users in Lyon.
Price increases will be on the program for 2024. This new price list will be studied during the SYTRAL Mobilités board of directors scheduled for this Thursday.
Highlighting “the sharp increase in the cost of energy“, the organization in charge of the TCL network announces price increases. “To continue to improve our networks, we are forced to increase the prices of certain tickets and subscriptions. However, this will be done at a level lower than that of inflation“, announced this Tuesday morning Bruno Bernard, the president of SYTRAL Mobilités.
“This increase will not impact subscriptions aged 4 to 10 and young people aged 18 to 25. Which represents with the beneficiaries of free access nearly 40% of the 500,000 subscribers who will not see their subscription increase“, adds the elected environmentalist. This price change will be between 2.6 and 2.7% on the TCL, Libellule, Cars du Rhône networks and the shuttle to Rhônexpress airport.
Among the increases to note: the TCL 2h ticket, like the Evening ticket, goes from 3.50 to 3.60 euros, the 24h and Family tickets increase by 20 cents (6.70 euros), the 48h ticket increases by 40 cents and will reach 12.90 euros.
As for subscriptions, the monthly rate for 26-64 year olds increases from 69.40 to 72.60 euros while that for over 65s increases by 1.60 euros.
As for the single ticket, it will not change: 2 euros at the distributors, 2.30 euros on board the buses.
