Tears of the Kingdom Special Edition Nintendo Switch OLED Leaks; goodbye to the dream of the Switch PRO

We begin the penultimate day of the year with bombastic news for all fans of The Legend of Zelda Well, in the early hours of this Friday, alleged Photographs of what appears to be a special edition Nintendo Switch OLED from Tears of the Kingdomthe very sequel to Breath of the Wild.

Through the popular website reset is that the images reach everyone, revealing the box and the console that will accompany the launch of Tears of the Kingdom in May 2023. Although its veracity has not been confirmed, it is important to note that the box maintains the same vertical figure that we have already seen in this version of Switch as well as typical details of special consoles:

  • Joy-Con in white color accompanied by the logo of The Legend of Zelda and vivid in green and gold
  • Special edition dock with the Tears of the Kingdom logo and special engravings
  • Vertical shaped box illustrated with art from the game

So far Nintendo has not ruled on it, but surely we will have information sooner than we expect. In fact, this is the second leak in the week related to the new Zelda de Switchbecause as soon as we found out that the game could have functions online; also because of poor quality filtered images.

Goodbye to the Nintendo Switch PRO

Another point to highlight from this leak is that it seems to put end to the hopes of a Nintendo Switch PRO. This week we learned that Nintendo would have ruled out a more powerful Switch versionbut the hope of a hardware renewal with the sequel to Breath of the Wild It didn’t seem so far-fetched… until a new edition of the Switch OLED came along and dashed our hopes.

The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Coming Exclusively to Nintendo Switch on May 12, 2023being one of the most anticipated games of Nintendo for next year. We’ll be keeping an eye out for console confirmation, hoping it’s not some belated April Fool’s Day prank.
