Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune affirmed that French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Algeria was very successful, distinct and necessary.
During the joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron, which was held yesterday, in the honorary hall at Houari Boumediene Airport in the capital, on the sidelines of the completion of the signing of 5 cooperation and partnership agreements between the two countries, Tebboune said that it was agreed to establish a committee comprising historians from both countries to deal with the memory file. And addressing it from the historical angle and not from the political angle, and its launch within 15 days. The Algerian president added that he agreed with his French counterpart about the future that concerns the two countries, given that France is one of the major European powers and that his country is among the influential powers in Africa, noting that the two countries will work in many fields outside bilateral relations, especially in the African framework.
Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune commended the high-level security meeting between the two countries, which was held yesterday, and included the various security services in the two countries in the presence of the two presidents, noting that this meeting is the first at this level since independence, and would herald joint action for the benefit of the two countries’ surroundings. .
In turn, the French President stressed that the bilateral relations between Algeria and France are solid and strong, calling for “strengthening them through dialogue in all fields, including the issues that prevented the two countries from progressing.”
Macron indicated that “in the coming weeks, there will be meetings in Algeria between the ministers of the two countries and bilateral visits, and both of us are mobilizing, mobilizing and closely following up so that words are translated into actions.” The two countries agreed to fight illegal immigration while facilitating procedures for dual nationals, artists, businessmen and politicians who strengthen bilateral relations.
Algeria and Paris will also give a new impetus to their economic relationship in a “balanced partnership for the benefit of the two countries”, especially in the areas of digital technology, renewable energies, rare metals, health, agriculture and tourism.
