Indeed, at only 19 years old, the Frenchman (46th in the world) has just been called up for the first time with the France team to compete in the Davis Cup. Thus, next September (from 12 to 17), the native of Bondoufle will be with the Blues in Manchester to play the group stage of the finals of the famous team competition. Apart from Fils, the French Tennis Federation (FFT) announced on Monday thatAdrian Mannarino (32nd) and Ugo Humbert (33rd) were also called up, as were Nicolas Mahut and Edouard Roger-Vasselin. Already selected in 2014 and 2016, the latter might also make his debut with France on this occasion.
