Tesla sales in China reach record 83,000 in September

Tesla delivered 83,135 electric vehicles to customers in September, made at its factory in Shanghai, reports Archyde.com with reference to data from the China Passenger Car Manufacturers Association (CPCA). This is a new sales record for an American company in China.

The previous record for sales of Tesla electric vehicles in China was set in June this year. Then the company managed to sell almost 79 thousand cars. September sales were 8% higher than in August and 48.4% higher than last year.

Tesla last week reported on a significant increase in production and global deliveries in the third quarter. In particular, the company managed to sell 343.8 thousand electric vehicles, which became a new record for it.
