Emotion with the flight of “La Moldau” by Smetana, goosebumps listening to “A day in the life – 2017 Remix” by the Beatles… The test of the latest creation from Sonos did not leave us unscathed. Behind its 4.5 kg and an atypical design, the Era 300 contains six Class D loudspeakers (4 tweeters and 2 woofers) which diffuse the sound forwards, to the sides and above. It should therefore not be positioned in the center of a room, but rather in front of a wall, for example. It’s a stereo speaker… and also Dolby Atmos. A first for the American manufacturer. Another special feature: it adds Bluetooth compatibility to Wi-Fi, hitherto reserved by Sonos for its nomadic models (Ray and Move). As soon as it is plugged in, after an installation that is still just as clear, a balanced sound is heard.
