Many taxi drivers have encountered passengers who are in a hurry, but few are as lucky as this Thai taxi driver. After this driver helped the guest arrive at the airport within the time limit, he actually received a fare that was nearly 55 times more than the original fare plus tips, totaling about NT$35,000.

According to “Thaiger” report, the taxi driver shared this special experience in the Facebook group “Thai Taxi Driver” and said that he received a foreign passenger who was rushing to arrive at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport within 30 minutes. The other party promised that if If you arrive within the time limit, you will be given an extra tip.

Although the driver didn’t actually drive like crazy as he was asked, and just paid by the meter as usual, he still arrived at the airport within 30 minutes. The passenger also fulfilled his promise and took out two 500-euro banknotes on the spot and got off the bus immediately, leaving the driver with a look of doubt on his face: “Did I receive counterfeit banknotes?”

The driver explained that 1,000 euros is converted into about 38,000 baht (approximately NT$35,000), which is far more than the original fare of 677 baht (approximately NT$602). The difference between the two is nearly 55 times. However, 500 euros is very rare, and I was worried for a while. I was deceived, but fortunately it was confirmed later that it was real money. The driver also said that he could feel that the passenger had important matters to deal with and could not miss the flight. “If we calculate the loss of missing the flight, 1,000 euros was quite worth it to him.”
