Bangkok: Indian player PV Sindhu in the semifinals of the Thailand Open Badminton Tournament. Japan’s world number one Akane Yamaguchi advanced to the semifinals. Sindhu won by two sets to one. Score: 21-15, 20-22, 21-13. The semifinals are on Saturday. Sindhu will face Chinese Olympic champion Chen Yufei.
In 51 minutes, Sindhu Akane overtook Yamaguchi. With this, Sindhu was able to make up for Yamaguchi’s defeat in the Asian Badminton Championships.
