(PLO)- Thanh Hoa province will hold a ceremony to receive the national intangible cultural heritage, the Ba Trieu Temple Festival in 2023 on the occasion of the 1775th anniversary of the death of national hero Trieu Thi Trinh.
On February 18, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province said that in 3 days from March 11 to 13, Thanh Hoa will hold a ceremony to receive the national intangible cultural heritage and the Ba Trieu Temple Festival in 2023. on the 1775th anniversary of the death of national hero Trieu Thi Trinh 22-2-248.
Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Do Quang Trong informed that the ceremony will be held on a provincial scale. This is a major cultural event of the province to honor the merits of the national hero Trieu Thi Trinh, and at the same time introduce and promote the typical and unique cultural and architectural values of the historic Ba Temple. Incense offerings are also performed at Ba Trieu’s tomb on Tung mountain, the tombs of three generals of the Ly family at the foot of Tung mountain, De Tu temple, Ban vow temple, Phu Dien village communal house (Trieu Loc commune, Hau Loc commune). ), procession of Ba palanquin, performance of Chuc Van on Ba temple.

Ba Trieu Temple Festival is held from the 22nd to 24th of the 2nd lunar month every year to commemorate the hero Trieu Thi Trinh – who led the people to stand up against the domination of the Dong Ngo Dynasty in 248.
To commemorate her merits, the local people built a temple, built her tomb on the top of Tung mountain, built a temple to Ba Trieu on Gai mountain and built a large communal house in the middle of Phu Dien village, honoring her as a God.
