It’s a day of celebration for Stéphane Séjourné. Gabriel Attal’s companion celebrates his 37th birthday this Saturday, March 26. The two men form a very discreet couple on which Le Monde looked at the end of October. The newspaper had told of their love at first sight.
Stéphane Séjourné, who turns 37 this Saturday, March 26and Gabriel Attal, who celebrated his 33rd birthday on March 16, form a discreet but solid couple. In its October 31 edition, The worlddevoted to them a very long articlecalling them “couple at the heart of power.“The newspaper told behind the scenes of their meeting in Paris. At the time, the two men were already present in the shadow of French political life.“I’m not sure that Le Monde would have published the same article regarding a heterosexual couple”, then reacted to Stubbornthe companion of the government spokesman.
The world had thus reported that their reciprocal crush took place “early 2015, during a working meeting in Bercy on the theme ‘the future of the health professions in the perspective of the liberalization of the professions protected in the future Macron law’”. Thus, Gabriel Attal occupied at that time for three years the post of adviser to Marisol Touraine, François Hollande’s Minister of Health. Stéphane Séjourné, he advised Emmanuel Macron, appointed Minister of the Economy in August 2014.

Threatened by someone from their political party
An anonymous participant in the interview recalls in The world that the spark was there: “It was the immediate crush between the two.“ However, things quickly became a bit complicated to manage within their political family. Indeed, in an interview with the magazine Stubborn, Stéphane Séjourné admitted that he had failed to be “out” against his will. Without revealing his name, he explained thata LREM deputy had threatened him at the time to reveal to the general public his relationship with his companion, while his own parents were not yet in the confidence. On this subject, the two men agree: they wish to remain discreet. “Whether you’re gay or straight, everyone has the right to their private life. Everyone has their own personality and sensitivity on this subject, mine is discreet”, declared Stéphane Séjourné in the columns of Stubborn.
