When we talk about some of the best beaches and coves in Spain it is clear that a large majority of them pass through the Balearic Islands. This archipelago is our particular Mediterranean paradise with its white sands and rocks and that intense blue of a calm sea that can be the protagonist of the perfect photo on Instagram without having to cross the pond to more exotic destinations full of coconut trees or those that boast of private islands with water villas and hotels. It’s okay, they’re also amazing and we don’t have them here, but we don’t need them either.
Ibiza, the party island that rivals Mykonos often, it keeps little gems on its shores that may not be as well known as its clubs and international DJs, but which are wonderful corners for hangover cure the night before with one or several dips and a good dose of sun and beach bar and beach club, and also several of the best of our country are here. Although the island is full in its high season, there are still havens of tranquility to unwind, especially if you go in slower months like June or September.
We are big fans of Majorca and its best hotels, because due to its size and connectivity, it seems to us the ideal one to find everything you find on the other islands without having to rack your brain too much in terms of accommodation, travel and options in general. We are big fans of Menorca and, also, its best hotels and villas, because the Menorcans themselves have not let the hordes of mass tourism prostitute their house in some way and it is one of the most isolated, never better said, remains. The same Formentera, probably the best in terms of beaches, although in recent years it is increasingly difficult to find a place to stay.
Ibiza, however, is Ibiza. It is the one that has put us on the international map, it is the one that has stolen the hearts of generations and generations and continues to do so, it is that magical island that has something that hopefully will not end up completely spoiled, it is “party” and it is retreat, it’s a lovely capital, it’s trendy restaurants and always in which to eat at the movies with more or less zeros in the account and it is, of course, beaches and coves as good as these.
