On the evening of the second day and while we were done with the program, I returned to the hotel where we were staying. I felt sick. I had thrown up and went to my room to sleep. I was sleeping and they woke me up. One came over my head and pranked me that my mother was looking for me on the phone, the second was at the window smoking and the third came lay behind me and put his finger in my anus. I was in pain. I started shouting for help and immediately all three of them left the room”….
The exclusive testimony to the POST OFFICE of the high school student in the wider area of the Municipality of Volos, for whom the school trip to Ioannina turned into a nightmare, is shocking. It was not the first time that the 15-year-old became a victim of the three students one year older at the same school, who were arrested, detained and brought before the Prosecutor’s Office yesterday. A misdemeanor charge was brought against them for sexual indecency and they were referred to an express trial on November 21, 2024, at Monomeles Anilikon.
The three accused students, one alleged perpetrator and two accomplices, denied the charges. They claimed that they entered their younger classmate’s room for fun but did not make any obscene gesture towards him.
The student-victim informed the next morning, school teachers accompanying the excursion about the incident that happened early in the morning in his room and they assured him that the three students would be punished as soon as they returned to school.
The school’s reaction was overtaken by the stormy developments…
Arrest of three students
The 15-year-old, returning from the excursion, informed his father about the incident and named his classmates. Immediately the father reportedly contacted one of the students’ parents, the father of the alleged perpetrator, to whom he conveyed his son’s testimony and asked him to meet to find a solution.
The father of the 15-year-old alleged perpetrator reportedly ruled out the possibility that his son had committed the acts the younger child accused him of. “There’s no way something like that has happened,” he reportedly replied to the victim’s father, and they set up a phone appointment for the day before yesterday morning.
Until Sunday at noon, the father of the alleged perpetrator gave no signs of life. The victim’s father then took action. She reported the incident to the Mileon Police Department, filed a lawsuit for sexual abuse and proceedings were initiated against the three families.
The police immediately proceeded to arrest the three minor students who were held for a whole night in the detention center, accompanied by a parent, until yesterday morning, to be brought before the Prosecutor’s Office.
The 15-year-old underwent a forensic examination, but there was no finding of sexual abuse. The obscene gesture appears to have been made against the victim without his clothes or underwear being removed.

By order of the director of Secondary Education of Magnesia, Sokratis Savelidis, a preliminary investigation was launched into the incident, which comes to be added to a series of other events that have shocked public opinion in the last period of time.
“I have ordered that every aspect of the case be investigated. It is sad. On the one hand you see and brag about student successes and on the other such behaviors. Even if the incident is milder, it is not appropriate, it is reprehensible and reprehensible”, noted Mr. Savelidis, who spoke of students who have repeatedly caused concern with their behavior.
“Gang” inside the school
According to the student-victim of the high school seniors, it was not the first time he received abusive behavior from the 15-year-olds.
“A month and a half ago I was beaten. And when I informed my father and he came to the school to talk to teachers, they (the students) made fun of me. They imitated the way my father spoke, they told me that “he can’t do anything to us”, describes the 15-year-old.
The final students are said to have formed a “gang” inside the school together with six other classmates, who are exhibiting violent behavior against students. “They have leadership tendencies, they do magic, they think they can rule the school without anyone bothering them,” complains the 14-year-old’s father.
“They ruined our lives”
“Only the director has contacted us, saying she was shocked. She assured us that she will do everything in her power and that those responsible will be punished,” the father said.
The mother argues that the parents themselves are largely responsible for the children’s behavior. “We are the only high school without a parents association. When I tried to start a club to discuss problems, there was no interest. Out of 180 parents, I could not even convince 13 to create an association,” he said.
The 15-year-old shocks: “I’m afraid to go to school again”
Yesterday, the 15-year-old said he did not want his classmates to be prosecuted. Why; “I’m afraid to go back to school. I don’t want to,” he said, declaring that he will be bullied again because he… spoke. “That’s how it happened last time,” he said.
His father declares that he will not send his child to school again. “Let’s find a formula for him to just take the exams so he doesn’t miss the year. Next year they (the students alleged as perpetrators) leave and go to high school. At least not in danger. The child feels permanent fear and insecurity”, he noted.
