“Each diverse group of inductees has had a profound impact on the sound of youth culture and helped change the course of rock ‘n’ roll,” John Sykes, president of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, said in a statement. . “Her music has moved generations and influenced many of the artists who followed her.”
