Future in Africa returns for a 4th edition on October 25 and 26, 2023 in Casablanca under the theme “Digital 4 Water: Digital for better water management”.
“This continental conference will highlight the various opportunities offered by the digital sector to counter the accelerated scarcity of water in Morocco and Africa. In fact, the country is ranked 27th out of 164 countries in the global ranking of water stress according to the World Resources Institute.

As a result, an innovative digital transformation of the water sector will contribute both to the sustainability of natural resources and to the development of hydraulics in industry and agriculture,” say the organizers of this event. And added: “Future in Africa (FIA) harmonizes perfectly with the 2022-2027 Casablanca-Settat Regional Development Program. The integration of digital technology in these axes promises to optimize public services, encourage innovation and strengthen coordination, thus contributing to regional growth.

Several themes were addressed during this edition, notably “Digital, an essential lever for the efficiency of the various water stakeholders”, “Digital, at the heart of our innovation, education and investment to develop our environmental performance”, “The digital technological vector to optimize water performance”, or even “Digital innovation for water at the service of agricultural performance”. This promising edition of Future in Africa will see the participation of several officials from the ministries and government agencies responsible for Morocco and several African countries such as Senegal, Tunisia and Egypt.

Also present will be eminent national and international experts and researchers in the fields of water and new information technologies. Note that Future in Africa aims to be a meeting platform that brings together public and private water and digital stakeholders. Indeed, the event promotes the exchange of good practices and benchmarking around the best trends to evolve at the pace of current technological uses in the management, distribution and use of water.
