Prosecuted for embezzlement of 10 million FCFA, the accountant of an association was placed in pre-trial detention. This Tuesday, April 04, 2023, the defendant was presented to the judge of the First Class Court of Cotonou.
At the bar this Tuesday, April 04, 2023, the accountant of an association acknowledged the facts charged to him but not the amount which would have been embezzled.
The accountant is being prosecuted for abuse of office and embezzlement of 10 million F but he only admits having taken 4.5 million of the association’s funds for his personal needs.
The defendant was remanded in custody.
