Why was Aleska Génesis arrested in Mexico?
According to the statement from the Prosecutor’s Office, the arrest was due to the “probable participation” of Aleska Génesis “in the crime of gang robbery, recorded in recent days in a property located in the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office” of the Mexican capital.
The National Migration Institute (INM) alerted the judicial authorities about the entry of the Venezuelan model to Mexico, “who had a migration alert.”
Upon arresting her and corroborating her identity, a “medical certification” was performed and then “she was transferred to the Santa Martha Acatitla Women’s Social Reintegration Center, to remain at the disposal of the judge who requested her.”
According to the prosecutor’s investigations, the 33-year-old model “probably stole high-end watches from a property in Mexico City, which she possibly put up for sale in the city of Miami, Florida.”

Robbery would have been perpetrated in a hotel
The newspaper Reforma detailed this Saturday night, the 20th, that the alleged robbery in which Aleska Génesis Castellanos allegedly participated would have occurred in a hotel on Paseo de la Reforma.
The events would have occurred on January 15 when the alleged victim “allowed Aleska Génesis to stay” in the property where she “supposedly stole the accessories.” There would be “three watches” valued at “millions of pesos.”
“Later, the accused would have put these watches, worth millions, for sale in Miami, Florida,” reported the Mexican media.
