While performing a dance, the artist collapsed on the stage and died. The incident took place in Bishna, Jammu. Yogesh Gupta died while dancing as Goddess Parvati on the occasion of Ganesha festival. Video footage of the incident has been released.
As part of the dance, Yogesh Gupta dropped to the ground and performed the steps while sitting. After that, he collapsed. Seeing that Yogesh Gupta did not get up, the man dressed as ‘Shiva’ came to the stage. The video also shows him calling others for help. He was rushed to the hospital but might not be saved.
In June, singer Krishnakumar Kunnath (KK – 53) died of a heart attack following a concert in Kolkata. On May 28, singer Idava Basheer also died following collapsing on stage during a concert in Alappuzha.
