The magazine analyzed the 150 most populous metropolitan areas, evaluating various factors, from job prospects, quality of life, affordability and growth.
And the number one position was for the town of Green Bay in the state of Wisconsin. The publication said the city is “the perfect blend of big-city conveniences complemented by a small-town, Midwestern feel.”
According to the 2020 census, Green Bay had a population of just over 100,000, making it the third-largest city in the state of Wisconsin. after Milwaukee and Madison, and the third largest city on Lake Michigan, after Chicago and Milwaukee.
In addition to being home to its National Football League team, the Green Bay Packers, the city “boasts a thriving arts and entertainment scene, a revitalized downtown, and two college campuses, creating an energy that can draw both young families and retired people.
After ranking the 150 largest metropolitan areas in the country, Huntsville, Alabama, was ranked the second best place to live in America. beating Raleigh Durham, North Carolina; Boulder, Colorado and Sarasota, Florida.
The top 25 cities included five Florida locations, while Colorado and North Carolina each had three cities on the list.
