The Councilor for University, Research and Innovation of the Junta de Andalucía, José Carlos Gómez Villamandos, foresees that “in the best of scenarios” the Medicine degree at the University of Huelva (UHU) could be implemented in the 2024/2025 academic year.
In an interview, the counselor explained that at the beginning of this month of January there will be a meeting with the University of Huelva, where “they will present their feasibility plan to achieve“the degree of Medicine, and “we will have to sit down, determine the measures that they can implement and those that we can implement”, so that “we can have” this degree “as soon as possible”.
Thus, and when asked about when it could be definitively implemented, the counselor replied that “we will have to see” the feasibility plan that they have made in order to have this degree, but assuming that “everything goes well, in the best of scenarios if we gave the ‘ok’ this year we could have the Medicine degree for the 2024/2025 academic year”.
Last December, the rector of the University of Huelva (UHU), Maria Antonia Penawithin the framework of the University Senate, pointed out that “the feasibility study of the Faculty of Medicine is already completed”, to present it at the beginning of this month to the Ministry of University, Research and Innovation.
