“The bus kneaded” .. the first footage of the accident of the Umrah pilgrims bus accident

Al-Marsad Saudi electronic newspaper published pictures of the accident that occurred on the highway, at six o’clock yesterday morning, Friday, in Medina, Saudi Arabia.

The bus was transporting Egyptian pilgrims, and the accident occurred at the 140th kilometer, causing the death of 8 people and the injury of 43 others, according to press statements by Adel Hanafi, Vice President of the General Federation of Egyptians in Saudi Arabia.

Social media pioneers also circulated a video showing the moments after the accident and attempts to save the pilgrims (Masrawy reserves the right to publish it).

Engineer Hisham Saeed, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Saudi Arabia The Assistant for Hajj and Umrah Services offers his condolences to Egypt, for the death of 8 Egyptian pilgrims, in a collision in Saudi Arabia while they were going to perform the Ramadan Umrah on the Immigration Expressway in Medina.

And the Saudi Hajj agent said in a special statement to Masrawy today, Saturday: “We ask God to have mercy on them with his vast mercy and to dwell in the highest paradise of Paradise… and to accept them from the martyrs.”

Saeed continued: “May God have mercy on these deceased Egyptians, as they were residents in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, noting that the details of transferring these deceased to Egypt or burying them in the Holy Land, is through the Egyptian embassy in coordination with the competent authorities.”​

For his part, Adel Hanafi, Vice-President of the General Federation of Egyptians in Saudi Arabia, said that the death of 8 Egyptian pilgrims and the injury of 43, as a result of a collision in Saudi Arabia while they were going to perform the Ramadan umrah on the Immigration Expressway in Medina.

Hanafi added that the bus collision occurred in Madinah, at exactly six o’clock yesterday morning, Friday, on the Al-Hijra Expressway, specifically at the 140th kilometer, according to what was reported by the Emirati newspaper, Al Bayan.

The Red Crescent Operations Room in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah region received a notification of the accident, and immediately the Red Crescent directed the authority’s latest vehicles, where 20 ambulance teams from inside Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, and 6 teams from Makkah Al-Mukarramah region participated, with a total of 26 teams, in addition to 6 health affairs teams led by the leadership Field leadership, director of health affairs and assistant for emergency affairs and follow-up to the director of command and control.

When the ambulance teams arrived at the accident site, it became clear that there were 51 cases, including 3 serious injuries, 10 moderate injuries, 30 stable cases, and 8 deaths, and 5 cases were transported by the multiple injuries bus.

As for the rest of the cases, they were transferred to Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Hospitals, in coordination with the health operations of Wadi Al-Fara Hospital, Al-Madina General Hospital and King Fahd Hospital. They were transferred after providing emergency medical care to them, at the scene of the accident, from treatment and triage by the emergency teams.
