The BVC progresses from January 31 to February 04

The Casablanca Stock Exchange closed the period from January 31 to February 04, 2022 in the green, its main index, Masi, gaining 1.13% to 13,949.35 points.

The Morocco Stock Index 20 (MSI20), composed of the 20 most liquid companies, advanced by 1.28% to 1,136.67 points and the benchmark Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) index “Casablanca ESG 10” rose from 1.96% to 1,052.04 points. At the sector level, 15 indices marked positive variations over this period. The “Pharmaceutical Industry” index (+7.57%) topped the ranking, ahead of “Electricity” (+4.17%) and “Chemistry” (+2.99%).

At individual values, the best weekly performances were achieved by Timar (+10.49%), Sothema (+8.20%) and Oulmes (+8.03%), while the largest declines were recorded by Stroc Industry (-5.75%), Fenie Brossette (-4.7%) and Balima (-3.97%). The overall trading volume for the period reached more than 633.80 million dirhams (MDH), while the market capitalization stood at nearly 724.07 billion dirhams (MMDH).

During the same period, Attijariwafa Bank was the most active instrument with nearly 94.87 MDH and a share of 15.09% of transactions, ahead of Itissalat Al Maghrib with more than 74.85 MDH (11.9%) and BCP with more than 70.89 MDH (11.27%).
