The Central Bank unscheduledly lowered the key rate

The Central Bank lowered the key rate again. Now by 14% up to 11% per annum. This was reported by the press service Bank of Russia.

On May 26, a meeting was held at which the level of the key rate was considered. It was decided to reduce it to 11% per annum from May 27.

“The latest weekly data point to a significant slowdown in current price growth rates. The dynamics of the ruble exchange rate, along with a noticeable decrease in household and business inflation expectations, contribute to the weakening of inflationary pressures. Annual inflation in April reached 17.8%, however, according to estimates as of May 20, to 17.5%, declining faster than the April forecast of the Bank of Russia.

Earlier, “Pro City” reported that the Supreme Court of Russia declared illegal rejection of the referendum against QR codes in Chuvashia.
