The closing credits for two weeks of unforgettable creations inspired by Campari at the 76th Festival de Cannes

CANNES, France, March 12, 2019 /PRNewswire/ As the official partner of the 76th edition of the world famous Cannes Film Festival enthusiastic Campari, the icon of cocktail culture, through a series of events celebrating the unforgettable creations of mixology and the film industry.

The Campari Lounge in the Palais des Festivals was the focal point of the action. Here the actors of La Chimera and a live podcast recording featuring the lead actress from Firebrand, Alicia Vikander, welcomed, all against the backdrop of the red carpet and the Croisette, both visible from the lounge. Campari’s iconic red presence was also felt on Cannes’ Croisette, with events at the Palais de Stephanie Beach, Barrière Beach and the Martinez Hotel, including the after-party for the in-competition film Black Flies.

Every moment hosted by Campari brought to life what Campari cocktails and cinema have in common: icons at heart, elevating the experience beyond what was expected.

TWO UNFORGETTABLE WEEKS FULL OF EVENTS

In addition to hosting partner events, a highlight for Campari during the festival was the Discover Red event; an evening curated by the iconic red aperitif brand, offering guests unforgettable creations by Christian Sinicropichef with two Michelin stars, and Tommaso CeccaHead Bartender of Camparino in the Gallery, bot. The evening began with an aperitif in the presence of the star of May December, Charles Meltonand the legendary actor Luke Evansfollowed by a cocktail pairing experience curated by Christian and Tommaso.

No celebrity event would be complete without the viral celebrity content creator and red carpet regular, Cole Walliserbest known for his slow-motion footage of stars at high-profile events, and the Discover Red guests like Alessandra Ambrosio captured.

Throughout the festival, the Campari Lounge and the Palais de Stephanie Beach became the scene of after-parties for the unforgettable creations of the 76th Festival de Cannes. On the beach, Campari received the actors from Black Flies, including Tye Sheridan and director Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire, for an evening celebrating the success of the premiere. Campari also hosted an aperitif in the lounge with the cast of La Chimeraincluding Isabella Rossellini, followed by an afterparty at the Palais de Stephanie Beach.

The Hollywood Reporter has a special edition of its flagship podcast, Awards Chatter, recorded live from the Campari Lounge at the Cannes International Film Festival. A one-on-one interview sponsored by Campari was heard Alicia Vikander and THR Executive Editor of Awards Scott Feinberg.

Campari was proud to sponsor the Variety Golden Globes Party to act, which has hosted the most influential stars, creators and executives. Cate Blanchett, Charles Melton, Tye Sheridan and Shaunette Renée Wilson were in attendance that evening. Guests enjoyed a selection of the world’s most famous cocktails at a Campari bar.

At the after party Premiere of THE IDOL served Campari its iconic drinks at a conspicuous bar and invited guests to celebrate another unforgettable creation. The event was attended by cast members Abel Tesfaye (The Weeknd) and Lily Rose-Depp alongside a host of world-renowned actors.

Campari not only hosted the film stars, but also the Un Certain Regard jury, including John Reilly, Emilie Dequenne and Davy Chou. They came for an aperitif hour and American actors Tyler Hoechlin and Ian Bohen for an aperitif.

Campari also hosted events rooted in the cinema industry, celebrating the passion and stars of cinema. Stampede Ventures and EAST Studios hosted an evening at the Campari Lounge to celebrate the unforgettable creations of the exciting Asian cinema wave. The evening brought together Asian and AAPI executives, distributors and celebrities in a common space.

Campari hosted again for Breaking Through The Lens (BTTL), an organization working to make the film industry more equitable by bringing marginalized gender directors closer to funding. Following its first successful collaboration at the 2022 Festival de Cannes, the initiative hosted a media panel this year, moderated by the acclaimed Wendy Mitchell, featuring industry thought leaders including Frederic Boyer, Artistic Director of Tribeca; Shruti Haasan, actress and activist in The Eye; Mounia Wissinger, Marketing Director at Protagonist; and Molly Manning Walker, Writer and Director of How To Have Sex, which premiered in the Un Certain Regard category at this year’s festival.

Five of the world’s best bartenders came together for an evening dedicated to Campari’s creativity and passion CAMPARI: Celebrating Unforgettable Creations. Each bartender created their own unique cocktails, served by Camparino in Galleria. At the heart of each of these cocktails was the glamor of the Croisette in Cannes, the essence of the world’s most prestigious film festival and the magic of cinema, all underpinned by the iconic Campari red aperitif.
