The co-director of The Last of Us introduces his studio: Wildflower Interactive

Bruce Straleydirector of Uncharted 2: Kingdom of Thieves, The Last of Us y Uncharted 4: A Thief’s Endabandon Naughty Dog and the video game industry in 2017 after 18 years in the California study. On Wednesday afternoon, the veteran developer announced his new independent studio, Wildflower Interactive. At the moment they have not presented any project.

The director of the study affirms in the presentation video that the reason that has made him return to the industry is that he believes that there is still much to do and experience in the video game, so he began to set up this firm, which in its iterative work culture will be “inclusive, equitable and collaborative”, in the words of the developer. Although he has not given details, he assures that they have a “exciting partner” to help them achieve “the widest possible audience”.

The development team has the goal of creating games “small, full of creativity and with a unique style that explore the possibilities” of the middle, describes the studio website. They want a “small, honest team of creators who want to improve their skills and still have a good life outside of work.” With the intention of doing “advance” the video game “industry”aim to “change the way things are done – with the games we make, the culture we foster, and the processes we use for both.”

A team with experience in titles such as Got it y Abzu

On the official page they mention that the current team has experience in Naughty Dog titles, in the saga Call of Duty and in titles like The Pathless, Abzu, Kena: Bridge of Spirits y Astroneer. The studio is looking for new workers through the employment section that accompany the names confirmed so far:
