The early temperatures are between minus 15 degrees and minus four degrees, even lower in the Waldviertel and Mühlviertel as well as in some Alpine valleys. The afternoon temperatures range between minus nine and zero degrees.
To Midweek There will be bright, sunny weather thanks to the influence of high pressure. According to the Geosphere forecast, in most regions of Austria the sky is even cloudless. Only in the west and southwest can a few areas of high fog initially remain, but these will also dissipate during the day. The wind usually blows only slightly, only in the Danube region there is sometimes a moderate easterly wind. The thermometer shows between minus 18 and minus six degrees in the morning. During the day it only climbs to minus five to plus two degrees.
Am Thursday The influence of high pressure continues the bright, sunny and cold weather. There is only some fog in places in the western valleys and on Lake Constance. During the day the sky is cloudless in most regions. Only a few harmless, often thin cloud fields may touch the northeast in the afternoon. The wind is only blowing lightly. The early temperatures are minus 18 to minus five degrees, the daily maximum temperatures are minus three to plus five degrees. It will be warmest in the middle altitudes in the west.

At the edge of the high, the east of Austria gets into somewhat colder air masses again and deep, high fog-like clouds move in from the northeast. In places it can even snow a little here. In the east and on the eastern edge of the Alps there will be moderate to brisk northwest to north winds, otherwise there will be little wind.
