Few companies have grown as much in one year as OpenAI, the creator of the famous ChatGPT. OpenAI is looking to sell shares and the deal, if it materializes at the level the company wants, would make OpenAI’s value reach $86 billion.

In April, in a large investment round, OpenAI was valued at $29 billion.
The Financial Times, Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg have written regarding the market value and OpenAI’s plan to sell employee shares at auction. Sources say $1 billion worth of stock might be sold.
Negotiations are still underway and many details may change.
Estimates say that OpenAI had revenues of regarding one billion dollars in the last year.
ChatGPT was launched in November 2022, quickly reached 100 million users, and since then the company has been improving the chatbot and also launched a mobile app.
