The Court sentenced him to 5 years in prison – MALI24

The case dates back to the kidnapping of the former leader of the political opposition. Boulo says Aly Diallo a extracted 40 million CFA francs from the family and the party of the deceased deputy with the promise of securing his release. It was just wind. Justice has just taken action against him.

Swindlers have more than one trick up their sleeve and obviously do not shrink from any enormity or obscenity to quench their thirst for easy gains. The misery of others (death, illness, kidnapping, etc.) is therefore exploited to the full by certain tricksters for cold hard cash.

Did you know, for example, that the kidnapping of the late Soumaïla Cissé, in 2020, while he was campaigning for the legislative elections in his native Niafunké was blessed bread for agrefins? If not, simply remember that the family of Soumi Champion has been relieved of the trifle of 40 million CFA francs as a ransom to be paid against his immediate release.

But as the lie is always overwhelmed by the truth, the pot of roses is quickly discovered, because despite their eagerness to collect the money (by Orange-Money and by intermediaries), the crooks never managed to honor their promise, the ex-leader of the Malian opposition being at the time detained a thousand leagues from Bamako by a group of which they knew nothing. For the justice which has just unraveled the tangle, the only person responsible for this fraudulent maneuver is none other than the named Boulo dit Aly Diallo.

The case was the subject of a complaint to the High Court of Commune III of the district of Bamako, which has just ruled. Ruling publicly and contradictorily in the first instance, the TGI of Commune III declared Boulo Aly Diallo guilty of the charges against him. For the repression, he sentenced him to 5 years in prison, 2 of which were suspended. In addition, he received Mamadou Bâ and Dédéou Traoré in their civil action while condemning Boulo Aly Diallo to pay them the sum of 40 million CFA francs, representing the value of the amount embezzled. Provisional execution and ordering the defendant to pay the costs are also part of the operative part of this judgment.

Professionalism

But before getting there, what adventures! It must be said that the investigation office headed by Judge Demba Macina has done painstaking work to be highlighted. It is a work of goldsmith which is at the origin of his final order of partial dismissal, continued detention and referral to the correctional police in this case, dated December 22, 2022.

The information established that during the year 2020, following the kidnapping of the Honorable Soumaïla Cissé, leader of the Malian opposition by the jihadists, in the electoral district of Niafunké, Boulo dit Aly Diallo and his acolytes found this situation as a godsend. Thus, notes the cabinet, they came into contact with the relatives of the victim by presenting themselves as the kidnappers of this one. Once the said sum was collected, Boulo Aly Diallo and his acolytes were absent subscribers without the release of the honorable deputy. But it was without taking into account the professionalism of the Territorial Brigade of the river which got its hands on Mr. Diallo while his alleged acolytes were nowhere to be found.

In reality, the instruction rejected the criminal association charge insofar as the named Ladji Diallo, Kabou Ag Boulaï and Aly Ag Moha cited by the defendant were never found or identified. Moreover, this version is corroborated by the accused in the interrogation report on the merits dated June 21, 2021. Convinced that the fraud offense has been committed despite the denials of Boulo Aly Diallo, the judge had indicated that Boulo dit Aly Diallo should be prosecuted in accordance with the provisions of article 275 of the penal code.

Sentenced to repay 40 million FCFA and 5 years in prison, Boulo said Aly Diallo is certainly regretting his act. A lesson to meditate on by scammers of all stripes.
