It is the climax of the latest spiral of escalation so far: Brian Keller is in custody. The public prosecutor’s office announced on Monday morning that the compulsory measures court had approved these on Sunday. The reason is “risk of recurrence”.

Brian Keller is said to have attacked Tiktoker Skorp808 with punches in Zurich. Police arrested him on Thursday evening. The Zurich public prosecutor’s office then opened proceedings last week on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm.

Just a few months ago, on November 10, 2023, Brian Keller stood on the steps of the Zurich District Court. A few minutes earlier he had been released from prison after more than seven years.

“Now life begins,” he told the media at the time. Of course he was nervous about his new life; he was never prepared for it. His goal is to become a decent citizen and not have any more problems. When asked what he would say to those who are afraid that he might become violent again, he replied: “Whoever respects me, I respect them too.”

Provocations on the Internet

Since then, Keller has been supported in everyday life by a social worker. From then on, he shared his new life on social media platforms. Keller’s goal: to become a professional boxer. Videos showed him training.

In mid-April, Brian Keller was on one Podium of the online magazine “Republic” entitled “And now, Brian Keller?” He talked about his current life, how important his family and sport are to him and what it’s like to be constantly exposed to the public.

He said he was less aware of the media focus in prison. In real life, he also enjoys it when people recognize him. “So far only good people have approached me on the street.” Things are different on the internet. There are a lot of “unnecessary people who provoke you”.

Feud with a tiktoker

A dispute with user Skorp808 escalated on Tiktok.

This already made headlines in January. The two opponents threatened each other with knives over video calls. How serious they were was unclear at the time; In one of the films the two then burst out laughing.

But it did not stop. Keller showed up at Skorp808’s house, Skorp808 made this public, Keller called on others via social media to harm Skorp808. The public prosecutor’s office then opened Proceedings against Keller “for publicly inciting crimes or violence”. But Brian Keller remained at large.

Attack and arrest

Since the middle of last week, the escalation spiral in this dispute has been turning rapidly.

Images from a surveillance camera show Brian Keller allegedly running towards his opponent on Wednesday evening and punching him several times.

On Thursday, both commented on the incident on social media. Skorp808 complains of a triple broken cheekbone and wants to report Keller. Brian Keller speaks of threats and insults as well as attacks on his colleagues by Skorp808.

Brian Keller is finally arrested on Thursday evening. Applied on Friday the public prosecutor’s office remand. But the feud doesn’t end there.

Skorp808 also arrested

On Friday evening, Skorp808 streams live on Tiktok. According to several media reports, it could be seen how Skorp808 was first attacked. Blurry cell phone footage is circulating of him chasing people with a large knife and screaming after them. Sometimes you can also see his face, his black eye.

On Saturday night, the Zurich cantonal police also had the Tiktoker in his apartment arrested in Zurich District 9. Apparently it’s about threats.

This is not the first time Skorp808 has come into contact with prosecutors. He spent seven years in prison for gang-related theft and has only been free again for a few years.

Brian Keller and Skorp808 are presumed innocent.
