A 23-year-old scooter rider collided with a tram and partially passed under it, this Thursday morning, around 8:50 a.m., at Porte d’Anderlecht, in Brussels. “The life of the victim was in danger. She was taken to Saint-Pierre hospital,” said Brussels Capital/Ixelles police spokeswoman Sandra De Tandt.
“Traffic on lines 51 and 82 had to be interrupted between 8:50 a.m. and 10:20 a.m. between the Porte de Ninove and Lemonnier stops,” said STIB spokesperson Guy Sablon. The emergency services – an ambulance and an SMUR – worked for nearly half an hour on the spot to stabilize the victim. A judicial exclusion perimeter has been set up while making the usual findings.
