Her symptoms were nothing more than the result of 10 injections that Oneal Ron Morris, a fake cosmetic surgeon, had given her between 2007 and 2011. with the promise of enhancing your butt, hips, thighs and breasts.

Morris, it seems, had been applying formulas made of cement, mineral oil, silicone, super glue and tire sealant to his patients for years. However, it was not until Nuby passed away, due to respiratory failure due to massive systemic migration of silicone, that justice fixed her gaze on her.

“My daughter died in the most inhuman way, 18 months she suffered without knowing the totality of what she put into her body,” were the words of Sherri Pitts, Nuby’s mother, during Morris’s manslaughter hearing.

According to ‘The Washington Post’, the first procedure that Nuby underwent cost two thousand dollars (just over nine million pesos today) and was witnessed by a friend. The victim’s youngest daughter, on the other hand, witnessed another of the injections.

In an affidavit, she testified that Morris wrapped her mother’s tail in plastic wrap and subsequently poked her with a needle. that he brought in a black briefcase. All injections, another source told investigators, were sealed with cotton bags and glue.

Although Oneal wore gowns and carried a stethoscope with him during each of the procedures, he did not actually have a medical license to back up his actions with patients. In fact, before being charged with involuntary manslaughter, she had to serve a one-year sentence for practicing without this permit and causing serious injury to a person.

Nuby had had about 10 injections when all of a sudden the side effects started to kick in. Determined to get to the bottom of what was happening, she wrote a letter to the Florida health department in which she indicated that her buttocks, in addition to being hard, had a black color.

In his statement, he included the name of Oneal Ron Morris, who had already been arrested in November 2011, after a patient claimed that he had injected a toxic concoction into his buttocks. She was released and re-arrested after another person accused her, along with her partner Corey Eubank, of illegally dealing with her.

Authorities launched the investigation and interviewed Nuby. However, four months later, he died as a result of the chemicals that the ‘fake cosmetic surgeon’ had reportedly put into his body.

Greed really took over, because it was taking each victim’s money.

Morris was arrested in July 2012 at her mother’s home in South Florida and charged with the manslaughter of Shatarka Nuby.

During her sentence, the alleged specialist not only denied having intentionally hurt someone, but also having applied this type of toxic substance to the body of her patients.

Shatarka’s family actively participated in the hearing, which demanded justice for the death of the woman, but also other of Morris’s victims, who claimed to have become ill after the injections.

“You gave us your word that the products you were using were A-1 products. And I found out they weren’t. Maybe at first, but greed really took over, because it was taking each victim’s money,” Kisha Jones said, according to ‘The Washington Post’.

After a long, lengthy and exhausting judicial process, Morris was sentenced for manslaughter to 10 years in prison, along with 5 more of probation. in the year 2017.

The Miami Herald reported that Morris’s record included fake driver’s licenses, fake identification, bad checks and theft in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Alachua counties.

Other victims of ‘The Duchess’

Shatarka Nuby was one of Morris’s most visible and popular victims. Unfortunately, she wasn’t the only one. In May 2009, Lournise Linton traveled to a Broward County motel to receive injections from the ‘phony doctor’, who at that time was known as ‘The Duchess’.

For 22 silicone injections in each buttock, the woman paid Oneal around $3,500. The procedure took just a few minutes, but the medical complications went on for a long time.

A year after receiving the substance, breathing problems began and then pneumonia followed, along with a foreign substance in the lungs. By 2012, when “Tampa Bay” collected her testimony, Linton was still undergoing treatment to combat the infection.

Shaquanda Brown, another of Morris’s patients, told the ‘Miami Herald’ that, after receiving the procedure from the supposed specialist, she had to be hospitalized for a month and, even after that, she continued to have complications.

As Nuby’s relatives narrated, Brown claimed to see a tube of glue, a black hose and a needle during the cosmetic retouching. Although he could not confirm his version, as Morris told him not to look, after that he contracted a staph infection.

Hoping to augment her lips, cheeks and chin, Rajee Narinesingh turned to ‘The Duchess’. However, far from getting the desired look from her, the woman denounced that Morris had turned her into a monster.

“After being injected with a cocktail of toxins, he was reportedly left with lumps on his cheeks, a misshapen chin and a swollen upper lip. He later she paid a royal surgeon to repair the botched job”, detailed ‘Daily Mail’.
